Improve new key competences (in general) and digital competences (in particular) among educators

We are happy to announce the release of the Workshop Manual for Teachers – Digital Change Agents (DigiChanAgents), developed within the DigiGap project. The manual provides a complete set of 8 interactive workshops designed to help teachers guide students aged 11–15 in becoming confident digital mentors for their families.

The manual addresses the growing digital generation gap between parents and young people. Through activities focused on communication, empathy, patience, online safety, creative digital content, and basic digital operations, students learn not only how to use digital tools but also how to teach them effectively. Workshops include role-play, real-life scenarios, hands-on tasks (such as Canva design, Google Calendar, online searches), and practical guidance from the DigiCompBook modules.

By the end of the programme, students are able to support their parents with everyday digital needs – from managing apps and email, to improving online safety and using digital tools for personal organisation. At the same time, families gain confidence, build stronger intergenerational relationships, and engage meaningfully with today’s digital environment.

The manual is now available for schools and organisations wishing to adopt innovative and inclusive approaches to digital education and family learning.
