On 25 June 2026, the DigiGap project reached another important milestone with the successful hosting of a national multiplier event at Liceul Tehnologic “Nicolae Stoica de Hațeg” in Mehadia, Romania. The event brought together 33 participants from a wide range of backgrounds, making it a vibrant and diverse gathering in the heart of the local community.
The event welcomed headmasters, teachers, and educators, 10 of whom came from other schools across the county, and 17 from the host school itself. Beyond the education sector, the event also attracted representatives from the local City Hall and Council, members of the local church, a parent representative from the school’s board of administration, and a representative of the local press, reflecting the broad community relevance of the DigiGap project.
The organising team made careful preparations in advance, ensuring the venue was welcoming, fully equipped with audio-visual technology, and ready to receive guests. The event opened at 11:00 with a warm welcome, participant registration, and a networking coffee, during which promotional materials were distributed to help spread the word about the project’s results.
The programme then moved into a comprehensive presentation of the DigiGap project, its context, main objectives, European partnership, target groups, and key activities. Following a short coffee break, participants were introduced to the project’s tangible results, including a deep dive into the DigiCompBook, its impact, and real testimonies from those who have benefited from its use.
The session concluded with open discussions, a lively question-and-answer exchange, and a quick feedback questionnaire to capture participants’ impressions. Attendance certifications were handed out as a token of appreciation, and the formal programme gave way to an informal networking lunch, allowing participants to continue their conversations in a relaxed setting.
The multiplier event in Mehadia was a remarkable demonstration of DigiGap’s ability to bring together educators, community leaders, and local stakeholders around a shared commitment to digital inclusion.
